Launched in October 2019 with 5 pilot districts, dozens of districts have since joined the Student-Centered Reporting Solution, allowing features and functions to expand quickly
All districts who join the Student Centered Reporting Solution today can take advantage of the following:
An operational data store (ODS) built on the Ed-Fi data standard
Ed-Fi- enabled automated data integration with NWEA
Ed-Fi- enabled automated data integration with district student information systems, including Infinite Campus, GoEdustar, Alma, and PowerSchool
An analytics middle tier that ensures fast report performance through the use of Google Big Query
Data storage designed to support the use of surveys, leveraging the Teacher Prep Data Model (TPDM)
Secure hosting of data through Amazon Web Services that is compliant with all federal and Colorado-specific student data privacy laws
Existing dashboard reports built using Google Data Studio, including those focused on NWEA Achievement and growth, and student engagement as measured by attendance.
No usage fees for public display of reports and support integrating dashboard reports into district-specific websites.
By June 2021 the following additional features will be available:
Free access to MasteryTrack to support the data capture of competencies aligned with 21st century skills and College and Career Readiness initiatives. Support configuring this tool for district-specific needs.
Ed-Fi- enabled automated data integration with MasteryTrack, allowing this data to be displayed side-by-side with other data sources to generate insights.
New data visualizations around competency data.
Updates to existing NWEA reports to include CMAS cut scores to support community understanding of results during the pandemic and in districts where CMAS opt-out rates are high
Single sign on to reports using Google, allowing for district-specific access to more granular internal reports
Anticipated Areas of Investigation for the 2021-22 School Year
District members drive the prioritization of this work, but below are the areas that have been requested:
Creation of “on track to graduate” reporting, leveraging the work of other Ed-Fi collaboratives.
Collaboration with the Department of Higher Education and the Workforce Development council to integrate with their My Colorado Journey tool and the underlying data in support of College and Career Readiness efforts.
Integration with CommunityShare and other related tools to support the integration of community feedback into reporting solutions as well as efforts to crowdsource funding.
Data sharing with the Colorado Department of Education to enable access to a variety of additional data sources including the Teaching and Learning Conditions (TLCC) survey data, as well as more traditional College Board, SAT and PSAT data.
Additional vendor integrations, with a particular focus on DIBELs, STAR, SAT, and ACT.
Support for storage, retrieval and reporting of 504 plans, Advanced Learning Plans, and READ Act plans.
New data visualizations and survey tools around learning climate and dispositions.
